Positive and healthy relationships thrive with mutual respect, honesty and diligence. The relationship between probationer and officer should be a collaborative effort to restore the probationer to the dignity of a law-abiding citizen.

Goals of Probation  

1. Rehabilitating the offender through an individualized program so that he or she may make a seamless transition back into the community;
2. Protecting the community from habitual criminal offenders by supervising offenders and enforcing conditions of probation;
3. Providing accurate and relevant information to the court, law enforcement officers and to the judge so that the justice system remains effective.
